Ella is happy in Chicago, she has wonderful friends that understand her, and then the worst happens, she moves to Dallas. The house seems plastic and no one is friendly until the gym teacher tells her to try out for the softball team--then her life begins to change. In one of her classes she has to "marry" the most popular jock in school, keep a budget and report back to the class. Lots of changes and worries for Ella, but maybe some happiness, too.
